The Origin of Women of Valor

Women of Valor was created by Paree Wellness Co. to address the unique emotional and spiritual challenges often experienced by women who serve in demanding roles such as military service, first response, and service-oriented leadership.

While many programs exist to support service members broadly, women often carry distinct experiences shaped by both the demands of service and the responsibilities they hold in their personal and professional lives. These experiences often require spaces designed specifically for women to reflect, rebuild emotional strength, and reconnect with their purpose.

The idea for the program emerged through a conversation with Clay Rojas, Clay Rojas, Oklahoma Regional Manager and Biblical Counselor, AMFT, at The Forge, who reached out to Perrie Gooden to discuss the need for stronger support systems within the community of professionals serving veterans and first responders. Clay expressed interest in building relationships with trusted professionals who could help address gaps in emotional and spiritual support, particularly for women connected to their broader network.

Through that conversation, Perrie recognized a clear opportunity to create a program specifically designed for women who serve. In response, she developed Women of Valor, a structured resilience cohort grounded in Perrie Gooden’s 7 Steps to Emotional Healing™ framework.

The program integrates psychoeducation, guided reflection, faith-informed support, and practical resilience tools to help participants process their experiences, strengthen emotional clarity, and move forward with intention.

Women of Valor is a psychoeducational and resilience-focused program, offering structured support and community learning rather than clinical therapy.

Why Women of Valor Matters

Women veterans represent one of the fastest-growing veteran populations in the United States, yet research consistently shows they face elevated risks for depression, PTSD, and suicide compared with civilian women.

These challenges highlight the importance of programs intentionally designed to support the mental resilience and emotional well-being of women who have served their communities.
